The bass and double bass have been with me since the very beginning of my musical journey.

I started playing electric bass at the age of 13, and later graduated in classical and jazz double bass from the Conservatory of Parma, Italy.

These instruments are not just tools—they’re extensions of how I feel and understand music.
They’ve taught me the profound relationship between rhythm, harmony, and space, a language that lives in my compositions, improvisations, and collaborations.

My Main Instrument: The Eminence 5-String Electric Upright Bass

It offers the warm, resonant tone of a double bass with the portability needed for international touring and modern performance settings.

I perform, tour, and record almost exclusively with this instrument. Paired with my Markbass Jeff Berlin amplifier, it delivers exceptional tone in jazz, classical crossover, modal, folk, world, and contemporary music.

Yes — even classical ensembles have welcomed me with this setup, proving that expression and musicality matter more than tradition-bound expectations.
